文部科学省の指定の算数翻訳教科書を使用。レベルが簡単であれば応用力を追求し、上のレベルを目指す。
具体物を用いた活動などを通して、図形、量、数についての感覚を豊にする。数の意味や表し方について理解できるようにするとともに、加法及び減法の意味について理解し、それらの計算の仕方を考え、用いることができるようにする。２学年では乗法の意味を理解し、その計算の仕方を考え、用いることができるようにする。長さの単位や測定について理解できるようにし、量の大きさについての感覚を豊かにする。
Math textbooks specified by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology will be used. When the level of math is found to be too easy, we will adapt and reach for a higher level. Through activities using hands on materials, students are enriched with a sense of shape, amount and quantity. Students are taught to understand the meaning of numbers and how to use them. The students learn both addition and subtraction, as well as how to apply their calculations. In their second year, students learn how to think and process calculations as well as application. Students are introduced to weight and length measurements as well as the tools used to find them.
