Through various activities, students will learn how to better express themselves and will gain a better appreciation of art. Self-expression and feelings of creativity will be nurtured and encouraged. Students will come to enjoy both creating art and viewing art. Students will become familiar with famous painters, their works, and be able to distinguish between different artistic styles. Both textbooks and ideas suggested by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology will be used, as well as American and European culture-based crafts.
